Geosyntec Consultants (Geosyntec) prepared this Addendum on <br /> behalf of Cascades,Inc. <br /> The scope of the investigation work plan presented in the Report/Work Plan, submitted <br />} <br /> to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) on 30 May <br /> 2013, consisted of two tasks: Task 1) Perform Cone Penetrometer Testing (CPT) and a <br /> grab-groundwater investigation to delineate the off-site (i.e.,_lateral) and(vertical extent <br /> of toluene in groundwater, and Task 2) Collect samples of soil and soil_gas from <br /> approximately 5 feet below ground surface (ft bgs) in the CPT-13 Area) Groundwater <br /> and soil/soil gas sampling locations proposed in the Report/Work Plan are presented in <br /> Figure 2. <br /> I <br /> In order to satisfy the conditions of the Consent Decree and Stipulated Injunction <br /> (Injunction) between Cascades, Inc. and the Newark Group, Inc.,.toluene source areas <br /> jwithin the Dopaco Area must be removed by excavation (The Newark Group Inc., v. <br /> Dopaco, Inc., 2013).
