Mike Pitta Pave 4 April 27, 2004 Schedule. CH2M HILL will use a local subcontractor,H.T. Harvey& Associates,to assist with design of the plant and irrigation system. CH2M HILL has successfully used this company on other similar projects and found their services to be cost effective. This subtask will include the following: • Kickoff meeting at the site between two CH2M HILL staff,H. T. Harvey& Associates, KMEP staff,and interested landowners to review the project and any potential design constraints. • Determining soil amendment and fertilizer requirements from the agronomic soil sampling previously performed by CH2M HILL on September 11,2003(A&L Western Agricultural Laboratories). • Preparation of a draft conceptual planting plan for review by KMEP • Preparing a revised conceptual planting plan for review by the land owners It is anticipated that a budget of 12,000 will be sufficient for 1-1. T. Harvey&Associates to complete their work for Subtasks B and C. Subtask C—Prepare Cleanup Plan. CH2M HILL will prepare the cleanup plan for submittal to the RWQCB by August 1,2004. As described above,this cleanup plan will be prepared in accordance with the following:: • Phytoremediation Work Plan(CH2M HILL,September 1S,2003) • Guidance for Items to be Inchided in a Clean tip Plan(RWQCB,April S,2004) • Results of Early Action Activities,performed above as Subtask A • Results of Conceptual Planting Plan,prepared above as Subtask B The cleanup plan will include the preparation of plans and specifications that will be provided as an appendix to the cleanup plan and also be suitable for third party bidding and construction. The plans and specifications will be prepared by CH2M HILL and H.T. Harvey&Associates. The specifications will include three sections: Earthwork(if any is needed),Planting,and Irrigation. The specifications will include information on:planting location, types and size of plant material to be used,planting methods,irrigation system components and layout,irrigation rates and schedule,plant maintenance, and noxious weed control,among other details. The implementation schedule and any contractor performance standards will also be included in the plans and specifications. Plan-view drawings will be prepared using existing base maps to show key specification elements. CH2M HILL will prepare a draft cleanup plan,including plans and specifications,for review by KMEP and a final cleanup plan incorporating any comments by KMEP for submission to the RWQCB. If necessary,CH2M HILL will revise the cleanup plan to address potential comments by the RWQCB.
