Mike Pitta Page 6 April 27, 2004 • Quarterly monitoring of wells downgradient of detectable hydrocarbons(N-18,N-19)to detect potential downgradient migration. • Semiannual monitoring of all wells at the site(quarterly wells plus M-1,M-2,M-8,N-20, N-21,N-22,N-23,N-24) during the first and third quarters The monitoring wells are sampled by SECOR and the samples are analyzed by Alpha Analytical under the direction of SECOR. Quarterly and semiannual data reports summarizing the field and laboratory results are prepared by SECOR. The samples are analyzed for indicators of hydrocarbon contamination and naturally occurring biodegradation. SECOR and Alpha analytical perform this work under direct contract to KMEP. CH2M HILL will perform the following work: • Coordinate with SECOR to assure that the groundwater monitoring work is being implemented in accordance with Revised MRP No. R5-2004-0803 • Use the groundwater monitoring results to track progress of the bioremediation pilot study • Prepare the quarterly and semiannual groundwater monitoring reports for submittal to the RWQCB in accordance with Revised MRP No. R5-2004-0803 • Coordinate with KMEP and RWQCB on the progress of the bioremediation pilot study CH2M IILL will prepare the following reports as required by the MRP: • Semiannual report for 41h quarter 2003 and lst quarter 2004 • Quarterly report for 2nd quarter 2004(electronic data report) • Semiannual report for 2nd and 31d quarter 2004(also annual report) • Quarterly report for 4th quarter 2004(electronic data report) The semiannual reports will be submitted to the RWQCB as hard copies by May 1st and November 1St, respectively,and the quarterly reports will be submitted to the RWQCB as electronic data reports by February 15t and August 1St,respectively. The reports will be similar in format to the routine monitoring reports prepared by CH2M HILL for 2003. It is assumed that SECOR will continue to perform the groundwater monitoring field work under contract to KMEP and will prepare the following materials for inclusion into the reports: • Data tables for well gauging and groundwater analytical results • Figures of site location and site plan • Figures interpreting groundwater elevations and petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations • Hydrographs and chemical concentration trend changes for selected wells
