0 •
CITY OF STOCKTON
COUNTRY CLUB TRUNK SEWER DESIGN-BUILD PROJECT
CONSTRUCTION MINUTES
April 09, 2003
The construction meeting was held on Wednesday, April 09, 2003 in the Administrative
Conference Room at the Stockton RWCF.
Attendees:
Ali Gharegozloo, MUD Reed Burson, MUD
Mike Conrad, KSN Tony Tovar, MUD
Marc Bridges, Kenko Inc. Peg Barnett, MUD
Amin Kazemi, MUD Dean Gilman, SJC-PW
Jim Butler, MUD Doug Heard, Kleinfelder (arrived late)
Ron Weldum, MUD Michael Infurna, SJC-EHD
Shawn Hart, SJC-Stormwater Tim Lemansky, Kenko
1. Previous Meeting Minutes Previous Meeting Minutes
There were no comments on the last minutes from the previous regular construction
meeting. However, Ali wanted to correct some issues raised at the April 3'd meeting.
He stated that samples from the dewatering at the bore pit turned up negative for TPH
(Diesel) and BTEX. He also noted that at the meeting of April 3'd the representative
from Viking Drillers Inc. said that at the bore pit four pumps were running with pumping
rates of 50 gpm to 70 gpm each. Ali and Reed measured the discharge rate and
concluded that the discharge rate was at 50 gpm total. He also noted all pumps do not
always run. He also stated that during the development of the dewatering wells,
according to the contractor's foreman, pump discharge was piped to the adjacent
dewatering well and not into the gutter.
Marc B explained the process of developing a well.
Ali noted the pumps are not dewatering right now.
Ali gave copies of the sign up sheet from the last meeting, with phone numbers, to all
those present.
Mike I stated he just wanted to be sure the City was addressing problems that could
have developed and is satisfied now that the concerns are being addressed. He noted
that the County just excavated and removed the contaminated soil at Country Club and
Mission recently. A small amount of contamination may still be present. He said they
excavated and removed most of the contaminated soil, however, they did not go under
the sidewalk. Mike I. believes that area should no longer be a big problem.
