The Waste Management Unit Database System (WMUDS) report lists sites tracked by the
WRCB and the Regional Water Quality Control Boards for program tracking and inventory
of waste management units. WMUDS is intended as an enhancement to the WDS database,
it does not duplicate any information in WDS. The records, which were current as of
September 1994, indicates 10 WMUDS facilities within the study area However, none of
the WMUDS sites appear to be located within a 1-mile radius of the subject site
The WRCB maintains a list of all permitted underground storage tanks (USTs)
containing hazardous substances Inclusion in this database is not necessarily an
indication that an unauthorized release of hazardous substances has occurred The records,
which were current as of August 1994, indicate four UST sites within the study area
These sites include the BP station, Michelotti's Auto Repair, the University of the Pacific,
and Country Club Food & Fuel at 1856 Country Club Boulevard The subject site is not
included on the UST list
4 3 COUNTY RECORDS REVIEW
Geosystem reviewed County files pertaining to the reported leaking fuel tanks at the
BP station located at 1403 Country Club Boulevard The purpose of the file review was to
determine whether ground water contamination originating from the BP station had
migrated beneath the Bank of West property and to determine the depth and flow direction
of ground water in the vicinity of the subject property The depth to ground water at the
BP station ranged from 27 to 28 feet below grade on November 30, 1994 Ground water
flow was to the northeast with a gradient of about 0 002 Ground water beneath the BP
station has been impacted by gasoline hydrocarbons (Alisto Engineering Group, February 7,
1995) However, the contamination appears to be localized and is unlikely to have migrated
beneath the subject property
4-5
G3,R, GYSTEQM,
Consultants, Inc
