• 29 December 1999 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 98-0465 <br /> Page 4 of 9 <br /> Based on soil and ground water contamination encountered beneath the former UST area, AGE <br /> proposes ground water monitoring well installations in the following locations <br /> • Between 5 and 10 feet south of former UST No 3 to assess the extent of adsorbed and <br /> dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon-impact cross-gradient(south-southeast) of the former UST <br /> area, <br /> • Between 5 and 10 feet southwest of former UST No Ito assess the extent of adsorbed and <br /> dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon-impact up-gradient (south) of the former UST area, <br /> • Between 20 and 30 feet north of UST No 2 to assess the extent of adsorbed and dissolved <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon-impact down-gradient of the former UST area, <br /> • Between 50 and 60 feet northeast of the former dispenser area (DPI) to assess the extent of <br /> adsorbed and dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon-Impact down-gradient of the former UST <br /> area <br /> The proposed ground water monitoring well locations will be advanced to approximately 30 feet bsg <br /> utilizing a truck-mounted, hollow stem drill rig equipped with 8-inch diameter hollow-stem augers <br /> Total depths of borings may vary according to hydrogeologiclgeologic conditions encountered during <br /> drilling activities <br /> Selected soil samples will be analyzed by a State of California Department of Health Services <br /> (DHS)-certified laboratory for the following constituents <br /> • TPH-g and TPH-d in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified/5030, <br /> • BTEX compounds and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) in accordance with EPA Method <br /> 8020, and <br /> • Fuel oxygenated compounds including MTBE,TBA,DIPE, ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(ETBE) <br /> and tertiary-amyl methyl ether(TAME)by EPA Method 8260 Modified <br /> Laboratory reports for the soil analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control <br /> (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented In a report with <br /> findings and recommendations <br /> 3 3 MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION AND DEVELOPMENT <br /> At least four ground water monitoring wells will be Installed at the site to further assess the <br /> • petroleum hydrocarbon Impact to shallow ground water Proposed monitoring well locations are <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironment$1,Inc <br />
