investigation began. in 1995 has usually indicated an eastward groundwater flow direction, which <br /> would not explain migration of a hydrocarbon plume to the southwest from Kwikee Foods. Rather, <br /> the present distribution of hydrocarbons suggests that the plume originated off site to the southwest. <br /> Therefore, we recommend that groundwater monitoring continue and that the San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services Agency, Environmental Health Division, should search for potential <br /> contaminant sources south and west of the site before requiring further investigation by the owner <br /> of the Kwikee Foods property. <br /> 2 <br />
