- envirosn
2450 Country Club - Christopher
A right of entry agreement was sent to the Christophers on August 18, 1997 and was
returned to Enviros on August 28, 1997. They are apparently uncertain whether they have
a well. The property will be inspected to see if one can be located. It is our understanding
that the Christophers are presently on vacation (August 26 through September 15).
Enviros attempted to contact them during the week of September 1, 1997, but were unable
to reach them. We will schedule the inspection and sampling (if necessary) as soon as they
return.
2452 Country Club -Boardman
A right of entry agreement was transmitted to the Boardmans via SJCPHS on September 2,
1997. It was returned to Enviros on September 3, 1997. This well was sampled on
September 5, 1997, and analytical results are pending.
2454 Country Club -Franko
A right of entry document was sent to Ms. Franko on June 16, 1997. According to
discussions between Enviros and SJCPHS, Ms. Franko indicated to SJCPHS that she had
questions regarding the right of entry agreement. She was contacted by Enviros on
September 4, 1997, and indicated that her questions had been answered. She asked that
another copy of the right of entry document be forwarded to her. This was sent on
September 5, 1997. Upon receipt of the signed document, sampling of the well will be
scheduled.
2456 Country Club- Harris
Shell obtained a right of entry and sampled this well in 1995. On September 5, 1997,
Enviros obtained permission to sample this well under the existing right of entry. This is
presently being scheduled.
2468 Country Club -Warman
This well has been sampled on three occasions. During the first two sampling events
taking place on July 16, 1997 and August 5, 1997,MTBE was detected in ground water
samples collected from shallow ground water at concentrations of 5.9 parts per billion
(ppb) and 6.0 ppb respectively by EPA Method 8020 analysis. EPA Method 8260 analysis
results for MTBE for these events was 8.1 and 6.0 ppb respectively. During these two
events, MTBE was not detected in samples collected from a spigot located downstream of
the holding tank for water pumped from the well. No other petroleum hydrocarbons were
detected in samples collected from either the shallow ground water or the spigot samples
during either of these two events.
On August 28, 1997, Enviros was contacted by the property owner, Mr. Warman. He had
a contractor present on-site to install a new pump in his well. The contractor, Universal
Pump and Supply, claimed "odors" were present in the well. The well was subsequently
re-sampled on August 29, 1997. During this sampling event, the presence of a separate
phase odorless oil was noted in the well.
