Pilkington North America,Inc.
Site Background
cumulative total of approximately 174.04 gallons of recovered diesel has been removed via the site's
recovery wells.
' During the first quarter groundwater monitoring event conducted on February 12 and 13, 2007, Condor
sampled the three on-site monitoring wells and the SE sump and SW sump. Groundwater elevation data
' collected on February 12, 2007, indicated that the average groundwater elevation had increased by 0.53
foot since the previous monitoring event on November 13, 2006. The calculated groundwater gradient
was approximately 0.003 ft/ft to the east. TPH-D was detected in monitor wells MW-1 and MW-2, and
' TPH-MO was detected in the SW sump.
Four diesel recovery and skimmer O/M events were conducted at the Site from November 13, 2006
' through March 9, 2007. Free product was observed in three recovery wells (RW-2, RW-3, and RW-6). A
total of approximately 1.05 gallons of product were recovered during the monitoring and skimming
period. Product recovery from the Site's recovery wells has produced a cumulative total of approximately
' 175.09 gallons of recovered diesel.
During the second quarter 2007 groundwater monitoring event conducted on May 9 and 10, 2007,Condor
' sampled the three on-site monitoring wells and the SE sump and SW sump. The average groundwater
elevation measured in the three Site monitoring wells increased by 0.16 foot since the previous
monitoring event. The calculated groundwater gradient was approximately 0.003 ft/ft to the east.
' TPH-D, TPH-K, and TPH-MO were not detected at or above the laboratory reported detection limits in
any of the sampled wells or sumps during the second quarter monitoring event.
' Seven diesel recovery and skimmer O/M events were conducted at the Site from March 10 through June
22, 2007. Free product was observed in recovery wells RW-2, RW-3, and RW-6. Approximately 1.40
gallons of product were recovered during the seven skimming and system O/M events. The active
' skimmer in RW-3 was not in operation between May 10 and June 1, 2007, or between June 15 and June
22, 2007. The passive skimmer operated in RW-4 between April 5 and May 10, 2007. Product recovery
from the Site's recovery wells has produced a cumulative total of approximately 176.49 gallons of diesel.
' During the third quarter of 2007 groundwater monitoring event conducted on August 27 and 28, 2007,
Condor sampled the three on-site monitoring wells and the SE and SW sumps. The average groundwater
elevation measured in the three Site monitoring wells decreased by 0.77 foot since the previous
' monitoring event. The calculated groundwater gradient was approximately 0.003 ft/ft to the east. TPH-D,
TPH-K, and TPH-MO were not detected at or above the laboratory reported detection limits in monitoring
well MW-3. However, laboratory analytical results indicated that TPH-D was detected in monitor wells
' MW-1, MW-2, and the SW and SE sumps.
Five diesel recovery and skimmer O/M events were conducted at the Site between June 23, 2007 and
' September 14, 2007. Free product was observed in recovery wells RW-1 through RW-4 and RW-6.
Approximately 0.01 gallon of product was recovered during the monitoring and skimming period.
Product recovery from the Site's recovery wells has produced a cumulative total of approximately 176.50
' gallons of recovered diesel.
During the fourth quarter 2007 groundwater monitoring event conducted on November 19 and 20, 2007,
' Condor sampled the three on-site monitoring wells and the SE and SW sumps. The average groundwater
elevation measured in the three Site monitoring wells decreased by 0.12 foot since the previous
monitoring event. The calculated groundwater gradient was approximately 0.003 ft/ft to the east. TPH-D,
TPH-K, and TPH-MO were not detected at or above the laboratory reported detection limits in any of the
