(Geomatrix) is pleased to present the enclosed report <br /> summarizing the soil and groundwater assessment performed by Geomatrix at the Surland <br /> ' Homes Property in Tracy, California(the site). Based on analytical results from soil and <br /> groundwater samples collected from the site as documented herein and discussions held on <br /> 18 August 1998 with Mr. Michael J. Irl(San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> ' Environmental Health Division), Geomatrix is recommending the installation and sampling of <br /> two temporary groundwater monitoring wells. We propose that the wells be sampled once <br /> following installation and again approximately one month later to confirm initial sampling <br /> ' results.
