September 15, 1993 Working To Restore Nature <br /> • Ruiz Grocery, 'Tracy, California <br /> r <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Work will be performed in accordance with our Site Safety Plan (attachment) and follow <br /> the methods and procedures in our Field Procedures (attached) RESNA will conduct the <br /> following <br /> Task 2: Pire-Field Activities <br /> o Obtain permits from the SJC?P-S for drilling and inspection of wells after approval <br /> of the work plan <br /> o Obtain encroachment permits from San Joaquin County Department of Public Works <br /> to perform Hydropunch sampling and drill wells in San Joaquin County right-of-way <br /> r <br /> 'NsL 2: Field Operations and I[.a ho:raQory Analyses <br /> o Observe a licensed well driller drill six 8-inch-diameter borings. three borings onsite <br /> M and three borings offsite for Hydropunch sampling The soil borings will be drilled <br /> with drilling rig equipped with hollow-stem augers The borings will be drilled to <br /> approximately 15 feet bsg, the assumed top of groundwater, and the Hydropunch <br /> sampler pushed approximately 3 feet into groundwater Groundwater will be allowed <br /> to infiltrate into the sampler and a groundwater sample will be extracted from the <br /> sampler for laboratory analyses Proposed hydropunch locations are presented on <br /> Plate 2 <br /> o Observe a licensed well driller install four 2-inch-diameter monitoring wells on and <br /> adjacent to the site The locations of the monitoring wells will be based on data <br /> collected from Hydropunch sampling Plate 2 presents only an approximation of the <br /> well locations The borings will be drilled to approximately 25 feet bsg, 10 feet <br /> below assumed first groundwater elevation or less if a 2- to 5-foot thick low <br /> permeability layer is encountered beneath the first encountered groundwater The <br /> monitoring wells will be constructed with slotted interval from approximately 10 feet <br /> below the first encountered groundwater to 5 feet above Drill cuttings will be <br /> stockpiled on and covered with plastic and left at the site pending evaluation of <br /> disposal options <br /> o Observe a licensed well driller drill three 10-inch-diameter borings onsite in the <br /> vicinity of the underground storage tanks If field evidence indicates that <br /> hydrocarbons are present in soil, a vapor-extract ion well will be constructed in each <br /> 123MO-I W 2 <br />
