I <br /> ATC Associates Inc. <br /> CVYATC <br /> 1117 Lone Palm Avenue, Suite 201 <br /> Modesto, California 95351 <br /> 209-579-2221 <br /> i <br /> ASSOCIATES INC , fax: 209-579-2225 <br /> Procedure - Soil Borehole Drilling, Monitor Well Installation and Development, and Soil <br />'r <br /> Sampling, which is included in Appendix B. <br /> A California-licensed land surveyor will survey the newly installed wells . This survey will <br /> include the elevation of measuring marks at each well head to the nearest 0 . 01 foot and <br /> the latitude and longitude of each well . This measurement will be performed with an <br /> accuracy of one meter in accordance with Article 12 (Section 2729 . 1 ) of Chapter 16 , <br /> Division 3 , Title 23 of the California Code of Regulation (CCR) . The survey information <br /> will be used to tie the new wells to the existing monitoring well network. <br /> i <br /> Sample Analyses <br /> At least one soil sample from each boring exhibiting the highest PID readings will be <br /> retained for laboratory analyses . Soil samples will be collected in brass sleeves and <br /> secured for transport to a California certified laboratory under proper chain-of-custody <br /> protocol and analyzed for TPHg and TPHd (EPA Method 8015B) ; and BTEX, MTBE , <br /> TBA, TAME , DIPE , ETBE , 1 , 2-DCA , EDB (EPA Method 8260B . Additionally, these <br /> samples will also be analyzed for total chromium (EPA Method 6010B) , hexavalent <br /> chromium (EPA Method 7199A) , calcium and sodium (EPA Method 300.0) , COD , TOC <br /> (EPA Method 415 . 1 ) , and pH and alkalinity (EPA Method 310 . 1 ) . <br /> Soil Disposal <br /> All drill cuttings will be collected in Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved 55- <br /> gallon drums and will remain on site pending proper disposition . Soil cuttings will be <br /> managed in accordance with State of California and SJCEHD guidelines which will <br /> include waste profile characterization and disposition at a State permitted landfill or <br /> hazardous waste Transfer, Storage, or Disposal (TSDF) facility. <br /> PILOT TESTING <br /> Groundwater Sampling Activities <br /> Groundwater samples will be collected from MW7 before and immediately following <br /> completion of the proposed pilot testing activities. Groundwater samples will be <br /> analyzed for TPHg using EPA Method 801513 ; and BTEX, MTBE , TAME , TBA, DIPE , <br /> ETBE , 1 ,2-DCA, and EDB will be determined using EPA Method 8260B . <br /> Baseline Monitoring and Sampling <br /> Prior to start of the pilot testing activities , baseline measurements of wellhead pressure , <br /> static water level , vapor-phase petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations , dissolved-phase <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations, pH , temperature , dissolved oxygen , and <br /> oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) will be collected . Baseline VOC concentrations in <br /> vapor will be collected at each monitor well using a PID .
