ONSHORE NONPRODUCTION FACILITIES <br /> 40 CFR 112.8(a) <br /> The Circle K in Farmington shall operate in compliance with the requirements of Section 1 12.7, as <br /> outlined in this SPCC Plan,and the specific discharge prevention and containment procedures listed in <br /> Section 112.8 asset forth below. <br /> FACILITY DRAINAGE <br /> 40 CFR 112.8(6)(3)&(4) <br /> Any discharge outside of the contained areas would be handled as discussed in 40 CFR <br /> 1 12.7(a)(3)(iv)&(v), where as in all cases-if the spill/discharge may threaten a storm drain on site or <br /> threaten to leave the property, employees will attempt to place sorbents in the spill path or around drains <br /> to block the spill-if it can he done safely. <br /> Any discharge that makes its way to the site storm system is diverted to the retention pond on-site. <br /> BULK STORAGE CONTAINERS <br /> 40 CFR 112.80(1)(2) <br /> The containers at the facility are compatible with materials stored and conditions of storage such as <br /> pressure and temperature. <br /> The secondary containment area is addressed within this Plan at 40 CFR I I2.7(a)(3)(iii). <br /> PERIODICALLY TEST THE INTEGRITY OF ABOVEGROUND TANKS <br /> 40 CI`R 112.8(c)(6) <br /> This is addressed within this Plan at 40 CFR 112.7(e). <br /> Periodical testing will be done using SP001 standards. <br /> Per industry standards, for the tanks on-site, informal inspections by on-site knowledgeable personnel on <br /> a monthly and annual basis is sufficient. (See Attachment 5 for monthly and annual inspection check <br /> lists) <br /> Formal inspections by a certified inspector should be scheduled every twenty years, unless monthly or <br /> annual inspections reveal deteriorating conditions. <br /> TANK-LEVEL ALARMS <br /> 40 CFR 112.8(c)(8) <br /> The bulk fuel tanks are equipped with level gauges (clock gauges and/or pop-up float level gauge). <br /> The bulk Fuel tanks are also equipped with high liquid level alarms with an audible or visual signal at a <br /> constantly attended operation statioti. <br /> 11 <br />
