Tank integrity testing. Visual inspection of transformer Every three(3)years and whenever <br /> exterior,foundation and support for signs of oil leakage, material repairs are made. Tank <br /> tampering,battered metal or gouges,scratches or integrity testing at time of <br /> weathering of paint protective coating,and distress or manufacture/installation. <br /> deterioration. Check area around transformer for debris, <br /> stored materials,and other obstructions. <br /> Transformer interior. Any visual leaks or signs of distress identified are repaired promptly <br /> and/or reported to the Chief Stationary Engineer, and any oil discharge is stopped, contained and <br /> collected for disposal. <br /> Facility operators perform daily walk-through of the facilities and visually inspect the exterior of <br /> the bulk storage tanks, piping and other exposed equipment, standby power generators, and <br /> substation transformer for signs of distress,damage or leakage,and for evidence of surface staining <br /> or spillage. <br /> 2.9.3 Monthly Inspections <br /> A formal inspection the standby power generators and bulk storage tanks facility is conducted by <br /> facility operators on a monthly basis. The inspections involve a visual assessment of the structural <br /> and operational integrity of the containers and related equipment. Facility operators look for leaks <br /> and spills, corrosion cracks, failing seals, loose equipment, safety concerns, and the general <br /> cleanliness of the facility. <br /> Appendix G provides an example of inspection forms used by facility operators.
