Site Health and Safety Plan <br /> California Tank Lines Facility <br /> Sierra-Pacific Project No. 96-620.01 <br /> ® Provide technical advice during routine operations and emergencies; <br /> • Inform the appropriate site management and safety personnel of the activities to <br /> be performed each day; <br /> • Resolve any conflicts that may arise during implementation of this H&SP; <br /> • Handle any emergency response situations that may arise; and <br /> 0 Conduct pre-job and periodic tail-gate safety meetings. <br /> 4.2 Site Safety Officer <br /> Health and safety activities are important during all phases of any project. The degree of <br /> implementation of the activities or services is related to the perceived risk. The SSO shall have <br /> the responsibility to determine health and safety needs for this project and the authority to <br /> ensure that appropriate measures are taken. The SSO shall immediately inform the Project <br /> Manager of any health and safety conditions which may adversely affect the project. <br /> Under the appropriate circumstances, the SSO is specifically required to take the following <br /> actions : <br /> • Require specific health and safety precautions prior to work site entry by all <br /> project personnel. Ensure that personnel adhere #to requirements of this H&SP. <br /> • Require any project person to obtain immediate medical attention in case of an <br /> injury or illness. <br /> • Deny access to project personnel to the site or any work site in the event that to <br /> enter such an area would pose an unacceptable risk. <br /> • Order the immediate evacuations of project personnel from any work site when <br /> conditions posing an unacceptable risk arise through the course of work. <br /> Sierra-Pacific Groundwater Consultants, Inc. 5 <br />
