' Geologica(Technres Inc Page 5 <br /> Sod Investigation Report <br /> Bank of Stockton <br /> Project No 443 2 <br /> June 19,1996 <br />' Boring Position Boring No. <br /> Pump Island B1 <br />' S feet W of oil supply building B2 <br /> former 2,000 gallon AST 133 <br /> 4 feet N of oil suply building 134 <br />' 1,000 gallon gasoline UST pit B5 <br />' A soil sample was collected from the 5 foot level and from the bottom (10 ft ) of each <br /> of the 5 borings In the case of B-5 no 5 foot sample was collected because the <br /> material was back fill The samples were collected in 6 inch brass liners using a 2 0 <br />' inch diameter sampler The soil samples were sealed with alurrunum foil, capped, <br /> labeled and placed in a cooler at 4° Celsius for transport to the laboratory following <br /> Chain of Custody protocol <br />' 3.2 Soil Boring Sample Analyses <br /> The bottom (10 ft ) sample from each boring was selected for analysis These soil <br /> samples were relinquished to Sherwood Laboratories of Hilmar (DHS# 1400) and <br /> were tested for Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons measured as diesel <br /> I (TEPH-D) and for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G) by EPA <br /> method 8015 modified The detection linut for TPH is 1 mg/kg and for TEPH is 5 <br /> mg/kg by EPA method 8015m The samples were also tested for the presence of <br /> benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene, (BTEX) using EPA method 8020 The <br /> detection method limits for BTEX constituents is 3 µg/kg Two of the samples were <br /> also tested for the presence of MTBE and total lead <br /> 3.3 Borehole Closure <br /> After successfully collecting the bottom hole soil samples, each borehole was closed <br /> by filling with neat cement <br /> I <br /> 3.4 Water Well - Downhole Television Survey <br /> On June 25, 1995, Valley Pump of Modesto, CA arrived on the location for the <br /> purpose of removing the downhole equipment from the 4 inch diameter domestic <br /> water well The pump motor was unbolted and removed, and then the duel tubing <br /> string was removed along with the pump It was found that the pump had been set <br /> at a depth of about 73 feet below grade <br /> I <br /> I <br />
