' Work Plan for Characterization and Remediation of Stockpiled Sods July 30, 1992 <br /> Manna Pro Facility, 4004 © Dorado Street, Stockton, CA 2 <br /> IThis work plan describes the methods, equipment, and materials for all activities anticipated to be <br /> conducted during the soil remediation and backfilling project. <br /> i <br /> 2.o BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> 2.1 Site and Surrounding Area <br /> The Manna Pro Facility consists of a feed mill and warehouse located at 4004 El Dorado Street in <br /> Stockton, California The mill has not recently been in operation The site is located in a rural, <br /> industrial area Figure 2 presents the site plan # (10) <br /> Ground surface elevation at the site is approximately 15 feet above me-an sea level (MSL) <br /> � <br /> Groundwater monitoring data collected from the six monitoring eiis at the site on January 10, 1992 <br /> indicated that the depth to water (DTVI) ranged from 39 50 to 41 77 feet Calculations based on the <br /> monitoring data also Indicated that the groundwater beneath the site Bows to the west southwest <br /> There Is one production well on site which previously provided the mill with water for sanitary use <br /> and a fire sprinkler system The well is not currently in use There are no other known wells within <br /> 500 feet of the site <br /> Surface water in the area is limited to French Camp Slough, which runs northeast approximately <br />' 1500 feet from the facility French Camp Slough is a tributary of the San Joaquin River which flows <br /> northward approximately 3 miles to the west of the site <br /> 2.2 Previous Environmental Site Work <br /> A Phase 11 site audit was conducted by WHF E=nvironmental Consultants, Inc (WHF) in February <br /> 1990 During the site audit five underground fuel storage tanks were identified in the northwest <br /> comer of the property The storage tanks were removed by SEMCO (a subcontractor to WHF) <br /> During the tank removal activities diesel fuel and gasoline impacted sods were discovered <br /> surrounding the tank pit area Petroleum hydrocarbon impacted soils were also discovered beneath <br /> the fuel pumps located to the south east of the tanks Initially, approximately 2,500 cubic yards of <br /> sod were excavated from the tank pit area and stockpiled on site in accordance with a re-excavation <br /> I -r7' <br /> i GROUNDWATER <br /> I -----TECHNOLOGY INC <br />
