On June 18, 2002, Geo-Phase Environmental Inc issued a document entitled Report, <br /> Corrective Action, First Phase Remedial System Installation & Operation This report <br /> documented the construction and 90 days of operation of the first phase of the final <br /> remedial system This system consisted of a single vapor extraction well and two air <br /> sparge wells and the associated surface equipment and pipe runs <br /> The first phase of system operation was deemed successful in removing at least 600 <br /> pounds of gasoline petroleum hydrocarbons from the subsurface Generally the vapor <br /> extraction system (VES) operated at a flow rate of between 150 and 200 scfm and <br /> initially removed about 30 pounds of gasoline per day Over the course of the operation, <br /> this rate declined to less than 4 pounds per day <br /> 1.2 Changes to Proposed Scope of Work <br /> The goal of the first phase of the work described in the CAP was to begin the engineered <br /> remedial work for this site using the vapor extraction method aided by air spargmg In <br /> addition, the first phase was to remove some uncertainty regarding the rate at which <br /> hydrocarbons can be removed using this method and to allow for possible adjustments in <br /> the spacing of wells and other engineering details, the construction of the remedial <br /> system <br /> 2937 Veneman Ave , #B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc Phone(209) 569-0293 <br /> Modesto,CA 95356 Fax(209) 569-0295 <br />
