R
HE
- cg'..a. v,,3 " _ _.,e s...c... ::a xafF ., f.- a•
February 14. 1992 UNA
ARCO Service Station No. 2130, Stockton, California
SITE BACKGROUND
ARCO Service Station No. 2130 is located at 7906 North EI Dorado Street in Stockton.
California,as shown on the Site Vicinity Map (Plate 1). According to information supplied
by ARCO,there are four underground storage tanks presently at the site. Two 4,000-gailon
tanks and one 6,000-gallon tank store unleaded gasoline, and one 10,000-gallon tank stores
super unleaded gasoline. The approximate locations of the tanks and present site features
are shown on the Generalized Site Plan (Plate 2).
REGIONAL GEOLOGY AND HYDROGEOLOGY
The site area is underlain by the Lower Member of the Modesto Formation, which is of
Pleistocene age. Sediments of this formation consist of unconsolidated clay, silt, and sand
(Wagner, et al., 1987). `
The site is in the Eastern San Joaquin County Ground-Water Basin'California Department .
of Water Resources, 1980). According to this reference, the ground-water basin has been
® developed for intensive irrigation, domestic, industrial, municipal, and stock use. Based on
regional maps prepared from 1988 ground-water data by San Joaquin County Flood Control
and Water Conservation District, the regional direction of groundwater flow is to the
® southwest.
PROXIMITY OF WELLS AND UTILITIES
It is our understanding from City of'Stockton personnel that the city of Stockton provides
water and sanitary sewer for the site. Based on our search of utility records at the
Department of Public Works, City of Stockton, water and sewer lines are located within 50
feet of the western property boundary of the site. No septic tanks or leachfields are located
