21 August 2003 <br />AGE -NC Project No 03-1055 <br />Page 6 of 10 <br />Laboratory reports for ground water analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality as surancelquality <br />control (QA/QC) reports and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in quarterly <br />reports with findings and recommendations <br />28 REPORT PREPARATION <br />Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared <br />presenting the findings of the investigation The report will include a description of the work <br />performed and results of the sampling and analysis Conclusions, applicable recommendations, and <br />maps will be included in the report, which will be in a format acceptable to the CVRWQCB and will <br />be reviewed and signed by a California Registered Geologist <br />3.0. FIELD PROCEDURES <br />All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br />fRegistered Geologist Procedures to be implemented to excavate soil, abandon, install and develop <br />monitoring wells, advance soil borings and collect soil and groundwater samples, analyze samples, <br />and decontaminate equipment are outlined below <br />[7 <br />3 1 SOIL EXCAVATION PROCEDURES <br />The soil will be excavated using an excavator and stockpiled on-site, covered by a plastic tarp The <br />excavated soil will be field screened for the presence of volatile organic compounds using an OVM <br />Based on OVM readings and field observations, the excavated soil will be segregated into clean soil <br />and impacted soil, soil exhibiting hydrocarbon odors or measured OVM readings will be disposed <br />to a licenced landfill <br />Pnor to disposal, the hydrocarbon -impacted soil will be characterized by a DHS -certified laboratory <br />After soil characterization, trucks will be utilized to transport the waste material for proper disposal <br />The open excavation area will be surrounded by temporary fencing No AGE or subcontractor <br />personnel will be allowed into any excavation greater than five feet bsg until proper excavation <br />shoring and/or sloping techniques have been emplaced <br />Advanced GeoEnvironmentai, Inc <br />
