This contract includes a provision for technical support by the <br /> California Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCS). <br /> PHS/EHD has recently received a letter from the CVRWQCS that provides guidance an how to <br /> analyze for the oxygenated compounds in gasoline until a `definitive pratocaP can be <br /> established. Based on this letter, PHSZE b is directing you to analyze samples from all or <br /> your monitoring wells for Tertiary Butyl Alcohol (TBA), Methyl Tertiary Butyi Ether(MSE), Di- <br /> isopropyl ether(DIPS), Ethyl Tertiary Butyl Ether(ETSE) and Terdary Amyl Methyl Ether <br /> (TAME) by EPA method 8250. PHSiFHO will require analysis of samples for Methanol and <br /> Ethanol where there is reason to believe that these compounds were stared in the underground <br /> tank(s). <br /> PHS/EHE) requires quarterly sampling of all weils where the presence of oxygenates is <br /> confirmed by EPA method 8280. Modification of this required sampling such as number of wells <br /> sampled, sampling frequency and method of analysis may be granted only after initial sample <br /> results are reviewed by PHS/EH0.
