The following specific land uses: adult entertainment, community assembly, funeral services, boutique <br /> sales tent revivals, agricultural excavations, religious assembly, dry cleaning plants, animal specialty <br /> services,quarry excavations,inoperable vehicle storage,and recycling scrap operations. <br /> On September 22, 1998, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors approved the above-referenced <br /> applications and authorized and directed the Stockton Airport Manager to initiate preparation of a Special <br /> Purpose Plan for the Stockton Metropolitan Airport. <br /> General Plan <br /> The intent of the APAGeneral Plan land use designation is to provide for flexible siting of commercial, <br /> industrial, and recreational uses along with aviation facilities at the Stockton Metropolitan Airport. The <br /> Special Purpose Plan has been developed to be consistent with the policies and implementation measures <br /> contained in the Mixed Use Development section of the Community Organization and Development Pattern <br /> chapter of the General Plan 2010. Fallowing is an analysis of the project's consistency with the relevant <br /> General Plan policies and implementation measures. <br /> Airport Multi-Use Development and Locational Criteria(b)(3) <br /> Airport Multi-Use areas shall: <br /> (A) be limited to property that was part of Stockton Metropolitan Airport as of August 1, 1995; <br /> (B) be sited and designed to protect the basic aviation function of the airport; <br /> (C) exclude residential land uses. <br /> • The Special Purpose Plan is consistentwith the Development and Locational Criteria. The Airport Multi- <br /> Use designation covers a portion of the property that was part of the Airport as of August 1, 1995. The <br /> rest of the site is designated Public Facilities. All proposed development of the Airport project site will <br /> be subject to FAA review as part of the standard project review. All development of the site will also be <br /> either aviation related or aviation compatible. No residential uses are permitted within the AP-X zone. <br /> Development of Airport Multi-Use, Policy 2(a) <br /> The following types of uses shall be encouraged on the Airport East Property: <br /> (1) those needing direct runway access; <br /> (2) those that would benefit from the airport proximity; <br /> (3) those that would benefit from the proximity to State Route 99; <br /> (4) large corporate tenants;and <br /> (5) uses serving the employees within the Airport East property. <br /> • Chapter II of the Special Purpose Plan divides the Airport property into four functional areas and <br /> contains planning principles for each functional area to guide the type and location of specific uses <br /> San Joaquin County TA-00-9, PP-00-21San Joaquin County <br /> Community Development Page 8 <br />
