k
LSA ASSOCIATES,INC. INITIALSTUDY/ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENTATION
,JULY 2000 STOCKTON METROPOLITAN AIRPORT
SPECIAL PURPOSE PLAN
FMaster Plan, in general, mitigation measures for pre-historic and historic resources
were specified in conjunction with the Airport Master Plan EIR. Unknown resources
that may still exist throughout the greater project area will be mitigated in
l Jl accordance with Mitigation Measures C-1 and C-2 of the Airport Master Plan EIR.
Airport Master Plan Mitigation:
FMitigation Measure C-1: If potential cultural resources are discovered during
ground disturbing activities, construction shall be halted to allow recordation and
evaluation of the find.
F. Airport Master Plan Mitigation:
Mitigation Measure C-2: If human remains are discovered during development,
construction shall be halted to evaluate the find.
F
C) Directly or indirectly destroy a unique paleontological resource or site or
unique geologic feature?
No impact. No paleontological or geologic resources are known to exist on the
project site.
Fd) Disturb any human remains, including those interred outside of formal
cemeteries?
FLess than significant impact. The project is not expected to disturb any human
remains. The Airport Master Plan EIR previously included mitigation measures
(Measure C-2)to be implemented if human remains are encountered at any time
F; during development.
VI. Geology and Soils:
Would the project:
a) Expose people or structures to potential substantial adverse effects, including
the risk of loss, injury or death involving?
) Rupture of a known earthquake fault,as delineated on the most recent
Alquist-Priolo Earthquake Fault Zoning Map issued by the State
Geologist for the area or based on other substantial evidence of a known
fault? Refer to Division of Mines and Geology Special Publication 42.
rNo impact. Geology and seismicity have been previously addressed in the
Airport Master Plan EIR. Geologic and seismic impacts will be mitigated
through compliance with State building code regulations.
ii) Strong seismic ground shaking?
FNo impact. No active faults extend through the project site. The potential
for strong seismic ground shaking is considered relatively low and will be
F mitigated through compliance with State building code regulations.
F
7/20/00(P:\SJC0301Emironmental%initial study.wpd)
33
F.
