C) n
The 2015 Proposed Project Phase 2 Interchange is the anticipated development scenario.
EThe Cumulative Project 's the maximum potential growth of the airport. The County land
fills have adequate capacity to accommodate the anticipated solid waste generated on the
airport and in the County, even under the Cumulative scenario, through the year 2050 and
it is anticipated that the development of the airport will not have a significant effect on
land fill capacity.
E. Natural Gas
Natural gas is provided by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (P.G.&E.). A major 24-
inch high-pressure transmission line is located along Airport Way to the west of the
airport and gas is available to the airport property from this line. The amount of natural
gas used by the airport development will not have a significant impact on the capability
of P.G.&E. to service the area.
F. Electrical Power
Electrical power is supplied to the airport by P.G.&E. Power is available through
transmission lines located along Airport Way to the west of the airport, Arch Airport
Road to the north, and Highway 99 West Frontage Road to the east. P.G.&E. has
adequate capability to provide electrical power to all potential-development on the airport.
G. Police Protection
t The Stockton Metropolitan Airport is located within the law enforcement jurisdiction of
the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department. The Airport currently employs two airport
1 police officers that are typically on duty during routine business hours but are subject to
call back after hours. The Airport Police and Sheriff's Department patrol the airport
property and respond to calls for service on the airport.
When the Airport provided airline service, it retained additional police officers to handle
_ airline security and is in a position to expand their facilities when airline operations .
resume. The mandated airline security station and personnel are funded by airline.user
fees.
The Sheriffs Department has a bomb squad located on the airport. The Office of
Emergency Services of the State of California, County of San Joaquin, has storage
facilities on the airport. The Sheriff's Department has an air patrol station and contracted
helicopter operation based at the airport.
The Sheriffs Department and the Airport Police are in a position to expand service as
needed with the development of the airport. A letter dated July 10, 1997, from the office
of the Sheriff-Coroner, County of San Joaquin, is included in this report as Exhibit 8-A.
1 The Airport and Sheriff s Department have on site emergency response services to handle
police calls, bomb threats, or any other civil disturbances. They have mutual aid plans
:~with all outlying areas to provide assistance in case of emergency.;.,! .
8-6
r
