Current Status: Forward complies with the RWQCB groundwater monitoring and corrective action requirements and is working with the RWQB to address groundwater issues stemming from the unlined former Austin Road Landfill. Bottled water is provided by the City of Stockton to the residents affected by the groundwater plume. 7. LATHROP-MANTECA FIRE DISTRICT(Staff Contact: J. R. Monty, 209-858- 2331) a. The project must conform with the appropriate edition of the Uniform Fire Code (currently, the 1997 edition) and all related standards. b. Fire Department Facility Fees are to be paid on any new structure in accordance with the San Joaquin County Ordinance and Resolution adopting the fee schedule ($0.14 per sq. ft.). c. In order to commence construction beyond the foundation stage or storage of building materials, requirements for emergency vehicle access and adequate water for fire suppression shall be provided in accordance with Sections 901.3, 902.2.1, 903.2, and 8704 of the 1997 Uniform Fire Code. d. The fire access road shall meet the San Joaquin County Public Works Standards. e. A Knox Box security key box shall be provided. Applications are available at the fire district offices. Existing fire protection facilities will be maintained to the satisfaction of the Lathrop - Manteca Fire Protection District. Current Status: The Manteca-Lathrop Fire Department routinely inspects the Forward Landfill, including access roads, for compliance with fire safety standards.
