6.0 SITE DOCUMENTS
6.1 Environmental Health Department Records
The EHD was contacted regarding the Site address of 26931 and 26781 South Banta
Road. According to Cheryl Field, no records related to environmental issues are on file
for the Site address (personal communication, March 4, 2013).
Live Oak requested copies of the EHD well and septic permit files for the Site address;
Diane Martinez of that office provided the following permits (personal communication,
March 13, 2013):
• June 1970 permit for new septic system at mobile home. The system utilizes a
1 ,200-gallon septic tank and two 90-foot leach lines. A well is depicted to the
west of the mobile home.
• August 2005 permit for new domestic well.
• October 2005 permit for new septic system at residence. The system utilizes a
1,600-gallon septic system and three 100-foot leach lines.
These permits are included in Appendix 4 of this report.
7.0 GOVERNMENT AGENCY RESEARCH
7.1 EPA Databases
The California Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) manages contaminated sites
through two sub-agencies: the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and the
Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). The SWRCB's GeoTracker database
includes underground storage tank (UST) sites, leaking underground storage tank
(LUST) sites, cleanup program sites, and land disposal sites. The database can be
searched by reviewing two lists, the Permitted Underground Storage Tank (UST) Sites
list and the Cleanup Sites list. DTSC's EnviroStor database includes Federal Super-fund
sites, State response sites, voluntary cleanup sites, school cleanup sites, corrective
action sites, and permitted hazardous waste facilities.
Live Oak searched both databases on March 12, 2013 for any listed sites within one-
quarter mile of the Site. The subject Site was not listed on either database. Several
listed facilities were identified within one-quarter mile of the Site; quotations below are
cited from the GeoTracker Cleanup Sites list.
• All Pure Chemical, 26700 S. Banta Rd, This GeoTracker case has been open
since 1965. No details are provided by GeoTracker. It is listed at the same
address as Olin Chlor Alkali, discussed below.
LOGE 1303 Page 4
