3 <br /> Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report---------APN:209—310-30 ---Parcel Nos. L and 2 <br /> 5A& 5B): North-south irrigation line and standpipes looking north along easterly <br /> property line of the subject property. Irrigation is conducted from east to west on the <br /> subject property. <br /> Many of the items viewed in the attached photographs are easily transported; so <br /> none of the positions of the items or locations may be the same as those described above <br /> on any property search conducted subsequent to April 19, 2002. <br /> The subject property is subject to flooding under 100-Year flood conditions. <br /> No ground discolorations or spillages of chemicals were found.. On the date of the <br /> search, any pesticides herbicides, chemicals and fertilizers were stored in the semi- <br /> circular galvanized metal shop building and properly stored under lock and key. <br /> No fuel dispensing tanks were noted. <br /> Also the visual above ground property search did not reveal any vent pipes, <br /> excavated areas or other evidences of below ground contaminant sources. No excavations <br /> were made as a part of the property search, however. <br /> Possible Septic Contamination:Existing San Joaquin County records of septic system <br /> permits in the immediate area of the subject property as well as the area in the immediate <br /> vicinity of the subject property were reviewed. A total of six(6) septic permits were <br /> reviewed and none of them were for the subject property. Five (5) of the septic permits <br /> involved the installation of leach fields with from two(2)to ten(10)lines in them <br /> varying from fifty(50)to one hundred(100')feet in length. One (1) permit was for <br /> constructing a filter bed seven(7) feet wide and one hundred(100)feet in length. <br /> One(1) of the septic permits classified the soil as loam. One septic permit <br /> classified the soil as clay loam. Two (2)permits classified the soil as adobe. One(1)other <br /> permit classified the soil as adobe plus sand and the remaining did not contain a soil <br /> classification. <br /> No permits were noted for repairing any of the facilities subsequent to their <br /> installation. From the historical septic records there is no indication of septic <br /> contamination. <br /> Possible Nitrate Pollution: No animals were seen on the subject property so there does <br /> not appear to be any undue nitrate concentrations because off an overpopulation of <br /> animals. <br /> Possible Chemical Use Contamination In Crop Production: The pesticides and <br /> herbicides used in managing and controlling insects and mites, nematodes and weeds in <br /> the production of alfalfa is contained in"Appendix 11", entitled"Alfalfa Pesticides and <br /> Herbicides List"which is attached to and made an integral part of this report. <br /> RAID R Rnarac 16147 wact RPthanv Rand Trw v f A A1;171;-7111 PhnnP- (71191 915—ROW) 14 <br />
