SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc (Live Oak) was contracted by Carl Navarra to conduct <br /> a Soil Suitability Study for his property located at 25000 South Bird Road, Tracy, <br /> California (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development Code. <br /> The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil <br /> Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> A minor subdivision is proposed to divide the Site into a homesite parcel and a <br /> designated remainder (Plate 2). Mr. Navarra indicated that the uses of the land will <br /> remain unchanged. <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site consists of Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 239-110-05, approximately 40 <br /> acres in size, and a ten-acre portion of APN 239-110-04. It is located at 25000, 25144, <br /> and 25354 South Bird Road, Tracy, California. The Site consists of almond orchard and <br /> open land with two houses a garage, two small cabins, two barns, two large sheds, and <br /> three small outbuildings. A domestic well and an irrigation well supply water to the Site. <br /> (Plate 3). - — <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 45 to 50 feet above mean sea level (Plate 4). The Site is <br /> relatively flat. <br /> The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that the <br /> Site is zoned AG-40, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This <br /> zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br /> commercial agricultural enterprises." <br /> LOGE 1502 Page 1 <br />
