Surface&Subsurface Contamination Report Page 16
Sandhu Farms
Project No. 655.1
August 15,2012
Parcel 239-190-24
• No building records are available for this parcel.
Building records for the following two parcels seem to be confused and several
buildings in the parcel 30 file appears to actually be on parcel 32. The following
descriptions are based on the actual file contents.
Parcel 239-190-32
• A former 1,600 square foot "living quarters" of unknown age was
demolished. This may have originally been a type of bunkhouse later
converted to a storage shed. Several sheds constructed in that time frame
have since been demolished.
Parcel 239-190-30
• Buildings formerly located on the part of the parcel being assessed in this
investigation include a large hay barn and several sheds. Wood frame
houses were constructed in 1944. Two shed formerly in the area of the
existing trailer homes were also mostly constructed in the 1940s but have
been demolished. The shop/barn building was constructed in 3 stages
beginning in 1936.
A rendering of the Assessor's parcel map is included in Appendix A. Pertinent
pages of the building records are attached as Appendix F.
San Joaquin County Agricultural Commission
This agency maintains reports of the use of agricultural pesticides. On July 11,
a request was made to obtain copies of use reports filed in the past five years.
The request was fulfilled on July 23, 2012. The county records clerk indicated
that no pesticide use reports have been filed since 2007. Mr. Mike Sandhu, the
owner of the Property reports, however, that this finding cannot be correct. A
number of pesticides are stored on the site (as indicated by the site
reconnaissance), and Pesticide Use Reports are filed with the agency are filed
regularly as required.
See Appendix E for a copy of the ag commission findings.
San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services
This agency is responsible for maintaining listings of sites that use and store
reportable quantities of hazardous materials. Such sites are required to submit
a Hazardous Material Business Plan. An electronic request was made to review
any business plans that may be on file for the Property (http://sjoesdata.orgo.
2937 Veneman Ave.,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
