} i (7) All required plans and building permit applications shall be submitted within 60 days of the application's effective date, and all Code related improvements shall be completed within six months of the application's effective date. { 5. FRENCH CAMP FIRE DISTRICT: a. The structure shall be brought into compliance with all current code provisions of the Uniform Fire Code, the National Fire Protection Association (Title 24), and the Uniform Building Code. b. A Fire Permit is required for a place of assembly (UFC Article 25, Section 101, Place of Assembly, Division 1). C. The following requirements shall be met to provide an exit system that meets the requirements for an A-2.1 occupancy: (1) All exits shall be clearly marked with an approved exit sign. If the exit way is not easily identified, then an additional exit sign shall be used (UFC Article 12, Division 1). (2) All exit doors shall be maintained in an operable condition and equipped with Panic Hardware that shall release when subjected to a 15-pound force and open the door with no more than a 30-pound force. Doors shall not have a locking device that needs to be unlocked from the inside with the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort. Exit doors shall not be locked, chained, bolted, a barred, latched, or otherwise rendered unusable. All locking devices shall be of an approved type. (3) The exit door that leads from the river room on the south side of the building to the outside shall have an outside lock of the type approved for Panic Hardware. If this door is to be used only for a fire exit, then it shall be labeled as such. (4) Fire exits shall not be obstructed in any manner and shall remain free of any material or matter that would render the exit hazardous. (5) Tables and chairs shall be arranged to provide for clear exit pathways (91 UFC 12.104, 25.106, and 25.107). (6) All decorations, including carpeting and drapes, used in the building shall be certified as 'Fire Retarded' (91 UFC 25.103). (7) Open flames, including candles and food warming devices, shall not be allowed without an approved fire permit (91 UFC 25.115 and 25.116). (8) The occupant load established for each room shall not be exceeded (91 UFC 25.114). (9) Fire watch personnel, as approved by the Chief, shall be on duty in uniform and maintain radio contact with the department at all functions until, in the opinion of the Chief, all Fire Code requirements have been met.
