Item No. 1
PC: 11-5-92 {
SU-91-15
Page 23
C. AIR QUALITY
C.1. Potentially Significant Impact: Project related construction activities will result in dust generation.
Finding:
Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project which avoid or
substantially lessen the significant environmental effects as identified in the Final EIR. These
mitigation measures are listed below.
Statement of Fact:
This impact will be mitigated via the implementation of dust control measures as required by the
San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District during all construction and grading on the
site.
D. PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY
D.1. Potentially Significant Im act: Increased demand for water.
The site has most recently been used for cattle.grazing, with only minimal use of water. The
project as proposed will create an increased demand for water.
Finding:
Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project which avoid or
substantially lessen the significant environmental effects as identified' in the Final EIR. These
mitigation measures are listed below.
Statement of Fact:
This impact will be reduced by the following:
• A'will serve"letter was submitted with the Major Subdivision application which states that
the Lockeford Community Services District (LCSD) is willing and able to provide water
service for this project.
• The developer is proceeding with annexation to the District.
• The developer will make necessary improvements to the water system to ensure that the
needs of this development are adequately met
• The lake will be filled by utilizing water runoff and groundwater. The well that will be used
to pump groundwater is approximately 137 feet deep. The wells used by the LCSD are
between 500 and 700 fest deep. The lake will pump nonpotable water from a shallow
aquifer, which is expected to have no impact on the District's wells.
