_ dust control watering of roadways. Thus the potential spread of airborne dust outside of
containment and control areas is minimised.
4.3 Offices & Vehicle Maintenance Shop Runoff Controls
Drainage control in the vicinity of the office/shop building and truck scales consists of a flat-
graded pad area sloping to a catchment basin at the northeast corner of the area. The
catchment basin is designed to accommodate storm water runoff from the roadway and
adjacent areas only. Storm water coming into contact with the wash area is directed towards
the sand and grease trap which is a part of the wash area system. Figure 4 shows the
location and nature of storm water control features.
Lubricants, hydraulic oil and other potential contaminant sources associated with vehicle
maintenance will be used and stored inside of the vehicle maintenance shop thus eliminating
the potential for contact with storm water. Handling and disposal of virgin and waste
materials in the maintenance shop as described in Section 5.6.3 will also minimize the
potential for impact of storm water runoff.
Vehicles and equipment used in operations at the site will be washed periodically to
minimize dust and lubricant buildup. A wash area, consisting of a concrete slab, sand and
grease trap, and holding tank, are situated adjacent to the shop building and will
accommodate wash operations. Storm water coming into contact with the slab will enter the
trap and holding tank. These operations are addressed under Waste Discharge
Requirements issued by the California Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board.
Materials in the truck loading and scale area that have a potential to impact storm water
runoff are limited to finished aggregate products from the facility.
4.4 Boneyard Area Runoff Controls
Runoff and drainage controls are not required in the Boneyard area.
4.5 Pristine and Reclaimed Area Runoff Controls
Runoff and drainage controls are not required in pristine and reclaimed areas.
5.0 STORM WATER MANAGEMENT CONTROLS
KRC Aggregate, Inc. will maintain appropriate storm water management controls at the
subject facility so as to prevent discharge of storm water to waters of the United States and
Storm Water Managmant Plan-BRC AUrapm Inc
BSB Pm*d Na 927012 7
Rc .d J...M M4
