At a minimum, the storm water management controls shall include: 1) Designation of Pollution Prevention Personnel and definition of their responsibilities; 2) Preventive Maintenance; 3) Good Housekeeping; 4) Spill Response Procedures; 5) Employee Training; and 6) Storm Water Management. 5.1 Pollution Prevention Personnel The Facility Operations Manager, or specified designee(s) shall be in responsible charge of _ pollution prevention activities set forth in this Storm Water Management Plan. Designees may include managers of Facility Engineering, Environmental Operations, or Health and Safety, Crew Foremen, and/or other employees in responsible charge of facility personnel or operations. A current list of designated Pollution Prevention Personnel, including titles, names, and emergency telephone numbers, is attached as Appendix A. Specific responsibilities of Pollution Prevention Personnel shall include the following: Review implementation and effectiveness of Storm (title) Water Management Plan, revising Plan as needed. Review facility operations to assure compliance with (title) the Storm Water Management Plan. Inspect/repair/construct storm water runoff control (title) facilities, as necessary, to maintain compliance with Storm Water Management Plan. 5.2 Preventive Maintenance Preventive maintenance shall serve to reduce the potential for spills due to equipment malfunctions and accidental releases of storm water runoff through damaged runoff containment facilities. The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, or a designee, shall establish an appropriate Preventive Maintenance Schedule that includes evaluation of facilities and equipment which would be potential pollutant sources in the event of malfunction. Such potential sources include chemical, lubricant and fuel storage facilities, pumps, pipes, hoses, holding tanks and oil/sand separator units. As other vulnerable areas are identified, Facilities Maintenance shall establish appropriate scopes and schedules of inspection for them. Pollution Prevention Personnel will perform inspections of storm water runoff control facilities on a monthly basis from October through May. Inspections will be performed so as to insure that storm water runoff control facilities are functioning properly and that _ problem areas are identified and repaired in a timely manner.
