A+ Site Characterization and Son rlemediation Plan: 7500[best Eleventh Street, Tracy, c_:4. Page 26
PERMITTING
The following permits and authorizations will be obtained for implementation
of the remediation program. The concerned permitting agency is noted in
parentheses following each permit or authorization required.
❑ Push probe and Hydro-punch Permit (SJCPHS).
❑ Well Construction Permit (SJCPHS).
❑ Authorization for Uncontrolled Soil Aeration (SJVUAPCD).
PROJECT SCHEDULE
Site Characterization
It is expected that soil probe and hydro-punch equipment can be mobilized to
the site within three weeks of receipt of authorization to proceed from the
property owner. Exploration of the lateral and vertical extent of the area
affected by fuel hydrocarbons using that equipment is expected to take three
days, and the results of analyses of soil and groundwater recovered during that
phase of the work to be available two weeks thereafter The necessary
topographical survey can be performed in parallel with the early phases of the
site investigation, and site plans should be available for use within four weeks
of date the project beings. After the results of the laboratory analyses from soil
and groundwater samples recovered during the first phases of the program are
received, data reduction, evaluation and consultation with the SJCPHS are
expected to require two weeks.
Allowing two weeks for the mobilization of necessary drilling equipment and
to obtain well permits from the SJCPHS, installation of the groundwater-
quality monitoring wells should be completed within three weeks following the
i selection of the well locations. Allowing two further weeks to obtain the results
of analyses of soil and groundwater samples from the monitoring wells and
four weeks for data reduction, evaluation and report preparation, an
k engineering report of the results of the site characterization program, including
results of the first quarterly round of groundwater-quality monitoring, should
be available approximately four months from the date the authorization is
I received to proceed with the program.
i
Remediation of Soil in Stockpile No. 2
Based on the considerations outlined above, it is estimated that active
remediation of soil in Stockpile No. 2 will be complete approximately eight
weeks from the owner's authorization to proceed.
}
sic
Ik
