III. PRESENT AND PAST USE OF THE SITE <br /> Except for the existing home, the entire property is currently and has been used as <br /> farmland for the last 70+ years. Thirty acres was a fruit orchard that has been removed <br /> within the last few months. The remaining property has been used for various row crops <br /> since 1954. Prior to that, grain was the predominate crop since 1915. <br /> IV. EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE <br /> The Baglietto residence is at least 100 years old. The residence is utilizing an on site <br /> sewage disposal system consisting of a septic tank leach line and dry well. The length of the <br /> leach line and depth of the dry well are unknown. The system was installed in 1940 when <br /> a bathroom was added to the house. The owner, Mrs. Baglietto, has experienced no <br /> problems with the septic system since installation. <br /> The neighbors in the immediate area also use on site sewage disposal systems. These <br /> systems generally consist of a septic tank, leach lines, and dry wells. Several of the <br /> neighbors were interviewed to determine the history of septic systems in the general area <br /> and to help in assessing the feasibility of continued septic system usage. This information <br /> is presented next: <br /> OWNER: Mayers <br /> ADDRESS: 11306 E. Comstock Rd. <br /> LOCATION: 320 yds southwest of property. <br /> AGE OF HOUSE: 24 years <br /> SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, system was installed at the time of construction of house. <br /> Located on the south side of house, this system consists of a septic <br /> tank with the more active leech line running west 50+ feet. The <br /> second, less active leach line goes east 50+ feet. Existence of dry <br /> wells are unknown.
