(GTI) on behalf of the above
referenced site and has the following comments.
The report presents the analytical results from the groundwater monitoring and sampling
event that took place at this site on April 18, 2000. Water samples from three monitoring
wells were collected and analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gas (TPHg),
benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene (BTEX), five oxygenates including MtBE,
and EDB and 1,2-DCA. Results indicate petroleum hydrocarbon impact to groundwater
only in the area of MW-1. Groundwater flow direction from this monitoring event was
reported as being towards the west/north-west. This indicates that lateral definition of
the shallow groundwater contaminant plume has not been made in the down-gradient
direction. Vertical definition also has not been made.
Please prepare a work plan to further define the vertical and lateral extent of the
groundwater contaminant plume and submit it to PHS/EHD by July 21, 2000. If you
have any questions or comments call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Margaret t'agorio, RE rS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV Supervisor, Unit IV
cc: Marty Hartzell, CVRWQCB
Ray Kablanow, GTI
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
