Escalon-Bellota Road
Farmington, CA 95230
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) met with you on December 19, 2008,
and summarized the meeting discussion in correspondence dated December 29, 2008. In the
correspondence, the EHD requested that you submit the following:
• Data showing the amount of water previously used by the two connections at the Sanguinetti
property;
• A water study for the proposed gasoline station and market that included calculations based on the
number and type of plumbing fixtures to be installed, the amount of irrigation water needed, the
amount of water needed for operation and maintenance of the gasoline station and market, and the
anticipated number of customers;
• The results of a well capacity study on Well #2 showing the number of gallons per minute the well
could produce to confirm the well can produce the quantity of water required to meet current
maximum day demands and the proposed additional use demands;
• Alternative approaches for reducing the amount of water usage and possible water storage at the
project site.
The following documents have been submitted to the EHD since that time:
• A Farmington Water Company (FWC) list of annual water use for 25 years (compiled by adding the
meter readings from the 68 metered water connections of the 82 memberships);
• A Nolte Associates, Inc, January 14, 2009, letter on calculations of Maximum Day Demand and Peak
Hourly Demand based on the FWC metered readings of water used in 2002 (the highest Water usage
year in the last 25 years);
• The results of a Power Hydrodynamics, January 5, 2009, flow test on the 15 horsepower submersible
pump/North well (this test does not meet the requirements of the Water Work Standards well capacity
test);
• The pump test results from 1964 and 1976 on the FWC wells, which was conducted before the 2002
reconstruction of the North well (so they are not representative of the current capability of that well
and pump);
• A FWC letter dated January 14, 2009, stating that the Alders Family annual water usage (property
now owned by Sanguinettis) in 2002 was 203,000 gallons, and that a home owned by the Jacksons,
which had its water use terminated in September 2008, had an annual water usage of 219,000
gallons in 2002;
• A FWC letter dated January 27, 2009, which states their system meets source requirements-and
expresses concerns regarding conducting a capacity test on the FWC wells.
