NOISE <br /> 11. Outdoor Noise Levels: Best available noise reduction measures shall be implemented by <br /> the applicant to reduce noise levels in primary outdoor use areas (backyards) of new <br /> residential development to an Ldn of 60 dB.Where it is not possible to reduce noise levels to <br /> this level using practical application of the best available noise reduction measures, an <br /> exterior noise level of up to 65 db may be allowed. In the case that noise levels cannot be <br /> reduced to the design noise level of 60 dB, the applicant must provide notice via a note on the <br /> deed of each condominium unit along Central Parkway and De Anza Boulevard stating that <br /> noise levels may exceed 60 dB. [MP Policy 11.3.1 (e)] <br /> Timing: Final map note approved by CDD prior to final map approval and deed notes prior to <br /> issuance of building permits. <br /> 12. Interior Noise Levels: Interior noise levels for housing proposed to be located in areas <br /> exposed to an exterior noise level of an Ldn above 60 dB shall be maintained at or below an <br /> Ldn of 45 dB. [Master Plan Implementation 11.3.1 (f)] <br /> Timing: Compliance verified prior to the issuance of building permits. <br /> 13. Mechanical Ventilation: Mechanical ventilation (HVAC)in homes shall be supplied where <br /> outdoor noise levels exceed 60 dB. <br /> Timing: Compliance verified by CDD prior to issuance of building permits. <br /> 14. Construction Noise: The following measure shall be implemented during construction: <br /> • Construction shall be limited to the hours of 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays. <br /> Extended hours which may include Saturdays and Sundays may be allowed through <br /> prior notice to adjacent residents and landowners, and prior approval of the MHCSD for <br /> infrastructure construction and CDD for building permits. <br /> • Comply with all San Joaquin County Development Title for all construction activities. <br /> • Equip all construction vehicles or equipment,fixed or mobile, with properly operating <br /> and maintained mufflers and acoustical shields or shrouds, in accordance with the <br /> manufacturers' recommendations. <br /> • Arrange all construction equipment and truck routes to minimize travel adjacent to <br /> occupied residences. <br /> • Locate stationary construction equipment and staging areas as far as possible from <br /> sensitive receptors. Temporary acoustic barriers may be installed around stationary <br /> equipment, if necessary. <br /> Timing: Improvement plan notes approved by CDD and MHCSD prior to final map <br /> approval and building permit notes prior to issuance of building permits. <br /> GEOLOGY AND SOILS <br /> 15. Seismic Safety: The applicant shall comply with the applicable provisions of the MHCSD <br /> Emergency Preparedness Plan. <br /> Timing: Inclusion of a note on Improvement Plans approved by CDD and MHCSD prior to <br /> approval of Final Maps. <br /> 3 <br />
