Neighborhood Opposition
Staff has received a petition with 43 signatures in opposition to the proposed church. A letter was
received from the law firm of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud, and Romo, representing the Linden
Unified School District, that was not in opposition to the project but raised traffic related concerns. The
primary neighborhood issue is traffic. The concern is that there is already an existing traffic problem
because of the school. The main times the church will be used is Sunday and weekday evenings. The
church traffic and school traffic will generally not occur at the same time. With the mitigation measures
recommended by the K. D. Anderson traffic study, which .have been incorporated as Conditions of
Approval, the traffic impacts are expected to be mitigated to below significant levels.
San Joaquin County UP-97-41Pioli
Community Development Page 6
