Soil Suitability Study MS-92-158 , Parcel Nos . 1 & 2 Soil Profile Test : No water was encountered in excavating any of the Soil Profile and Percolation Test Holes to a maximum depth of ten ( 10) feet . The San Joaquin County Flood Control And Water Conservation Map entitled "Lines of Equal Depth To Water Wells" dated Fall 1990 shows the water to be in excess of 100 feet below the ground surface . On my attached "Field Percolation Data Sheet" , I have noted the soil encountered to be of two (2) types , ( 1 ) a gray claey loam and ( 2 ) a brown clayey loam. The University Of California publication entitled "Soils Of San .Joaquin County, California" by Walter W. Weir , dated June 1952 , refers to the soil in this general area as "Columbia very fine sandy loam" . Percolation Tests : Three (3 ) percolation test holes which are identified as Percolation Test Hole Nos . N, S1 , and S2 on the attached "Parcel Map" were excavated to about a 3-foot depth but only two (2) were formerly tested. These were Percolation Test Hole Nos . N and S2 . The soils encountered in excavating Percolation Test Hole S1 as well as the Soil Profile Test Hole, both located near the easterly boundary of the twenty (20) acre parcel , by field observation, were noted to he clayey in nature and Percolation Test Hole No . S1 was not formally tested and reported on beyond its excavation. Both percolation tests conducted were performed in accordance with the percolation test procedures outlined in the "Manual Of Septic Tank Practice" , published by the Department Of Health, Education And Welfare and the requirements of the San Joaquin County Public Health Service, Environmental Health Division. On September 30 , 1992 and October 1 , 1992 , two (2) percolation tests , at about the three (3) feet depth, were performed on the siihiect property under my direction in conformance with San ,Joaquin County Public Health Service, Environmental Health Division regulations and San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Standards . Percolation Test Hole Nos . N, and S2 , for Parcel Nos . 1 and 2 , resperctively, resulted in the percolation rates and the determinations shown on the attached "Field Percolation Data Sheet" .
