The percent of clay and estimated permeability at various levels below the ground surface
are listed below:
Depth(inches) %Clay Permeability (inches/hour)
0-17 27-35 0.2-0.6
17-47 35-60 0.06-0.2
47-60 27-40 0.2-0.6
Current and Past Property Uses: The subject property is partially developed and
structures were observed during our site reconnaissance. The majority of the property is
currently covered by natural vegetation, which includes natural grasses and foxtails.
There is a small portion of the property dedicated to the staging of miscellaneous
disking/plowing farm equipment as well as a barn/shop where this equipment could be
repaired if required.
Mr. Thomas Pereira has owned the property since October 1980. The current property
has large open field that apparently has no current use judging by the natural vegetation
growth. A small portion of the entire property has been dedicated to residential usage
and currently has a residence, detached barn/shop, and shed. San Joaquin County
Assessor and Recorder Offices' records were researched showing that the subject
property was purchased as described by the current owners. The property does not
appear to have been used for business or industrial-type use.
Property Site Reconnaissance: On Wednesday, January 16, 2002 a property
reconnaissance was made by Scott Cragin. The surface reconnaissance attempted to
ascertain whether the subject property contained above ground fuel tanks, oil drums, or
other petroleum products use or storage. Site photos which show site conditions on day
of the property reconnaissance are attached to this report.
Four above ground fuel storage tanks were located on site and appear to contain diesel
fuel for use with the tractors staged on-site. No oil drums, or other petroleum product of
pesticide or herbicide receptacles or containers were observed. The above ground fuel
tanks are small and appear to contain less than 500 gallons per tank. The above ground
tanks are marked (diesel), well kept from a housekeeping perspective and appear to be in
good condition (no obvious leaks or stains on ground or on tanks). The above ground
tanks do not appear to be a source of contamination at this time. Since none of the other
items listed previously were found, the subject property's only apparent source of
contamination could be the above ground diesel tanks but do not appear to have any
likely contamination suggestive of a petroleum products or pesticide source. Wright was
unable to locate any obvious signs of leakage (i.e. staining or discoloration) from the
above ground tanks located on-site.
THOMAS PEREIRA PROPERTY at 15345 Grant Line Road,Tracy,CA 95304
Page 4
