obtain an additional supply of water,to implement more extensive conservation measures,or to revise the <br /> Master Plan. <br /> Water Demand <br /> Objective 12.3.2.To provide a safe,reliable,and sufficient water supply to meet demands at buildout of the <br /> Mountain House community. <br /> ► Policy 123.2 (a).Development within Mountain House shall consume less water than in similar <br /> communities,and less than that assumed in current County standards. <br /> ► Policy 12.3.2(b). Sufficient safe and reliable water shall be provided. <br /> ► Implementation 12.3.2(a).Water demand shall adhere to the water conservation requirements specified in <br /> Section 12.3.3. Water Conservation of the MHMP. <br /> ► Implementation 123.2(b). Specific Plans subsequent to Specific Plan I shall include a comparison of actual <br /> water demand for the community with the projected water demand used in the Master Plan. <br /> Water Conservation <br /> ► Objective 12.3.3.To utilize the Mountain House water supply efficiently. <br /> Policy 12.3.3(a). Ongoing water conservation shall be encouraged within the Mountain House community by <br /> the MHCSD through the use of public information and education programs. <br /> ► Policy 12.33(b).Certain ongoing water conservation measures shall be required by the MHCSD. <br /> ► Policy 12.3.3(c).Best beneficial use of reclaimed water shall be practiced. <br /> Implementation 12.3.3(b).The residents and patrons of the Mountain House community shall be informed <br /> about the importance of water conservation and ways which water use can be reduced through the <br /> establishment of programs promoting the benefits of such water conservation. <br /> ► Implementation 12.3.3(c).The following conservation measures shall be required: <br /> • Low-water-using landscaping shall be incorporated into residential, school,commercial,industrial, and <br /> other public areas within Mountain House. <br /> • In addition to low-flush toilets and shower heads as required by Title 24 of the California Code, the <br /> installation of water-conserving appliances shall be encouraged by MHCSD.MHCSD will distribute <br /> literature on available water conserving appliances such as dishwashers and clothes washers,and shall <br /> encourage or shall provide incentives for the installation of these appliances. <br /> ► Implementation 12.3.3(d).A water rate structure shall be developed that will encourage water conservation. <br /> Final EIR for the Mountain House Master Plan and Specific Plan 11994 (Mitigation Measures) <br /> The following water mitigation measures from the Final EIR for the Mountain House Master Plan and Specific <br /> Plan I are applicable to the proposed project. <br /> r <br /> College Park at Mountain House Specific Plan III Draft EIR EDAW <br /> San Joaquin County 4.5-9 Public Utilities <br />
