Enhanced Control Measures(to be implemented at construction sites when required to mitigate significant <br /> PM1p impacts(in addition to"Basic Control Measures"above) <br /> Limit traffic vehicle speeds on unpaved roads to 15 mph. <br /> • Install sandbags or other erosion-control measures to prevent silt runoff to public roadways from adjacent <br /> project areas with a slope greater than 1%. <br /> • Additional Control Measures(strongly encouraged at construction sites that cover large areas) are located <br /> near sensitive receptors, or which for any other reason warrant additional emissions reductions: <br /> Install wheel washers on all trucks and equipment,or wash off all trucks and equipment leaving the site. <br /> • Install windbreaks at windward side(s)of construction areas. <br /> • Suspend excavation and grading activity when winds exceed 20 mph. The following shall be required as <br /> conditions of tentative map approval: <br /> • Natural gas outlets shall be provided to backyards to encourage use of natural gas barbecues. <br /> • 220-volt electrical outlets for recharging electric automobiles shall be provided in each garage. Electrical <br /> outlets shall be located on the outside of single-family homes to accommodate electric lawn-maintenance <br /> equipment and electric barbecues. <br /> • Low NOx emitting and/or high efficiency water heaters shall be required for all dwelling units. <br /> • Each single-family residence shall have no more than one fireplace.
