The lack of consistent, positive findings in animal or mechanistic studies
weakens the belief that this association is actually due to EMFs,but it cannot completely
discount the epidemiological findings.
The NIEHS concludes that, "EMF exposure cannot be recognized as entirely safe because
of weak scientific evidence that exposure may pose a leukemia hazard. In our opinion,
this finding is insufficient to warrant aggressive regulatory concern. However, because
virtually everyone in the United States uses electricity and therefore is routinely exposed
to EMFs, passive regulatory action is warranted such as a continued emphasis on
. educating both the public and the regulated community of means aimed at reducing
exposure. The NIEHS does not believe that other cancers or non-cancer health outcomes
provide sufficient evidence of a risk to currently warrant concern."
Windshield Survev
The property is bounded to the north by an unlined ditch, agricultural land and rural residences.
Agricultural land and rural residences bound the property to the east. Interstate 205 bounds the
property to the south. Fallow land bounds the property to the west. No bulk hazardous materials
storage or distribution facilities were observed in the property neighborhood. No substantial
hazardous air emissions from stationary sources were observed on or near the property.
Site History
Ownership
Readily available San Joaquin County Assessor's office records consisting of a computerized
database accessed via APNs reveals that Chuck Tuso is the current property owner entity of the
Lsubject property. Additional site history information is provided under the subheadings below that
correspond to the sources of the data.
t
L
L
L
4 INK
`
WALLACE•KUHL
6 ASSOCIATES INC.
