Mr. Tuso informed us that his family has owned the subject property since 1948. Mr. Tuso explained to us that the subject property has not been farmed in the last five years. Mr. Tuso has no recollection of any organochlorine or organophosphorus (i.e. `persistent") pesticides (2--") being applied to the subject property. That statement is consistent with our accumulated experience in that lands subject to the type of usage as the subject property do not typically require applications of persistent pesticides. Mr. Tuso also explained that agricultural chemicals have not historically been, and are not currently, stored or mixed on the subject property. Archived Building Records ` We reviewed archived permit record databases for the subject property at the San Joaquin County Department of Public Works, Building Inspection Division. This office maintains structural Lpermit records on microfilm dating back to the 1960s. During our review of the County records, no structural permits were encountered for the subject property. This finding is consistent with our experience in that we typically do not encounter structural building department records for L historic rural residential development or farm/ranch/dairy sites,because the historic development on such sites often predates the commencement of archiving by the County building department. L Am icultural Review LWe discussed the agricultural history of the subject property with a staff member at the San Joaquin County Office of the Agricultural Commissioner. The Staff member at the Agricultural ti. Commissioner explained that they keep agricultural records for the last five years and that Restricted Use Permits and Annual Pesticide Use Reports could be obtained at the San Joaquin LCounty Agricultural Commissioner's Office.
