17. Street Lighting <br /> A. The deveioper_shall proVide photometric layout and calculations verifying compliance <br /> with MHCSD Street Light and Illumiriation S#andards to MHCSD far review and <br /> approval. <br /> B. All utilities shall be underground, <br /> C. Street light infrastructure (Poles, luminaries;'pull boxes, spliced fuse connectors, etc.) <br /> shall be designed in accordance with MHCSD Standards <br /> D. Provide joint trench composite/street light plans in accordance with approved <br /> photometric layout plan to MHCSD for review and approval. <br /> E. The following guidelines shall be used in the installation of"Safety"Street Lights. <br /> a. On parkways and arterial intersections, street lights shall be installed on all four <br /> corners, on the far side of all approaches to the intersection. <br /> b. On collector intersections, street lights shall be installed on the far side approaches <br /> of the Collector road. . <br /> c. On Local Intersections a minimum of one street light shall be provided to illuminating <br /> the intersection to the minimum foot-candle levels specified in the MHCSD Standard <br /> Plans. <br /> d. On"Knuckles", a street light shall be located approximately the center of the outside <br /> radius. <br /> e. On mid-block crosswalks, one and possibly two street lights shall be installed <br /> illuminating the crossing to the minimum foot-candle levels specified in the MHCSD <br /> Standard Plans. <br /> f. At"Tee"-intersections, a street light shall be located behind the back of curb of the <br /> thru street at approximately opposite the centerline of the street terminating. <br /> g. At any other locations where fighting is required to illuminate a hazard or <br /> unanticipated obstacles which may not be readily apparent to the driver. <br /> h. All in compliance with the minimum light levels stipulated in the latest issue of the <br /> MHCSD Standards and Specifications. <br /> 18. Auto Emissions-Roundabouts: The applicant shall implement roundabout intersections <br /> as proposed on the Tentative Maps and the Pedestrian, Bicycle, Transit, Open Space and <br /> Recreation and Trails Plans submitted with the Tentative Map applications for Tract 3601. <br /> Roundabouts shall be designed to meet MHCSD specifications. <br /> Timing: Improvement Plans approved by the MHCSD and CDD prior to Final Map approval. <br /> 19. Traffic Safety Measures: <br /> A. The applicant, in conjunction with the MHCSD and school districts, shall provide traffic <br /> control and standard traffic safety measures, such as "walk to school plans", at the <br /> elementary and high school sites as determined by the MHCSD General Manager. <br /> 20 <br />
