No wells are (3. <br /> depicted within one-quarter mile of the subject property. <br /> L3.1.7 Site Reconnaissance <br /> L A visual reconnaissance of the subject property was conducted on October 7, 2004. Photographs of (3 <br /> the subject property are attached to this report as Appendix B. A site visit/assessment checklist is t <br /> attached to this report as Appendix D. <br /> LThe subject property was observed to be roughly flat and irregular rectangular in shape. Two residences <br /> lie along the Guernsey Avenue property line. Behind the residences, the northen half of the subject <br /> Lproperty is planted with a deteriorating orchard. The southern half is vacant land. <br /> The yard behind 3740 East Guernsey was observed to be filled with an assortment of debris,including <br /> j wood, metal, and several drums. Two apparently inoperable cars and a pile of tires were observed <br /> L behind 3800 East Guernsey. Scattered debris, including several refrigerators and two car doors,was <br /> observed in various location across the subject property. <br /> LAt the southern boundary of the property,a dirt road runs along Mormon Slough. A storm drain was <br /> observed at the southeast comer of the property with an outlet into the slough. <br /> I <br /> L Surrounding properties were surveyed at the time of the site reconnaissance. To the north of the subject <br /> property is Guernsey Avenue, followed by single-family residences. To the west are single-family <br /> L residences and vacant land, followed by Highway 99. To the east are single-family residences and a <br /> warehouse with cement mixing apparatus in the back,most likely Borelli Cabinets and Hardware. Wash <br /> water from the cement mixing operations was observed to have spilled onto the subject property. To <br /> the south of the subject property is Mormon Slough,followed by rural residences. The rear yard of one <br /> Lof these residences was observed to be filled with wire and metal debris. Mormon Slough,particularly <br /> the storm drain outlet at the southeast corner of the subject property,appears to be a popular place for <br /> E dumping.
