Page 5 Approximate 80-Acre Property September 25, 2001 Job No. 1107-013 Common Site Specific Environmental Concerns Unidentified Substance Containers We observed no unidentified substance containers on the property. Storage Tanks/Petroleum Pipelines/Oil& Gas Wells We observed no obvious evidence of underground product tanks or buried petroleum pipelines on the subject property; property owner Mr. Joe Rios has indicated that the property has not supported any underground storage tanks. Our reconnaissance identified no indication of petroleum pipelines on or very near the subject property. California Department of Conservation Oil & Gas Wells mapping indicates that there are no oil or gas wells on or very near the subject property. Polychlorinated Biphenyls(PCBs) We observed no obvious evidence of PCB containing equipment on the property. Four pole- mounted transformers were observed on the subject property. The Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) transformers appeared in good condition with no obvious evidence of leakage. Past communications with PG&E personnel have indicated that transformers acquired by PG&E after 1979 are PCB-free by purchase specifications,although subsequent levels cannot be confirmed without testing. If necessary,PG&E will sample and analyze transformer contents for a fee. Solid Waste Disposal Our research and reconnaissance have not revealed any evidence of past or present landfill operations on the property. Pits, Ponds, and Lagoons We observed no evidence of past or present use of pits, ponds, or lagoons for disposal purposes or wastewater treatment on or adjacent to the subject property. Wetlands The appended EDR documentation includes a search of the 1994 National Wetlands Inventory (NWI) database for the subject area. The EDR mapping indicates that the subject property supports recognized wetland environments. Agricultural Chemicals We are not aware of any past use of agricultural chemicals on the property. We understand that the property was used for agriculture(likely dry farming/pasture) in the past. In our experience, normal application of agricultural chemicals to farmland generally does not significantly impair soil chemistry. Significant impairment is more commonly associated with large farm headquarters areas where repeated mixing of chemicals and rinsing of equipment has occurred. We are not aware of any such areas or activities on the property.
