In the 1983 and 1998 photos, no significant changes are apparent.
In the 2004 photo, a cattle facility with structures and ponds can be seen on the western
side of Parcel -06 of the Site. Two residences are also apparent. A pond can be seen
at the northeast corner of the Site. No other significant changes are apparent.
In the 2008 photo, the cattle facility has been expanded somewhat.
These photos are included in Appendix 3 of this report.
4.0 SITE INSPECTION
David Welch of Live Oak visited the site on June 14, 2010. Photographs of the Site are
attached to this report as Appendix 2. The Site was visually inspected from field roads
and adjacent roadways. The exteriors of structures on the Site were inspected; the
structures were not inspected from the interior.
A portion of the Site is a cattle facility with pens for calves and cows, storage structures,
a milk preparation building, and several ponds. Two residences are located on the Site
with the addresses of 31005 East Dodds Road and 11300 Henry Road. An irrigation
canal crosses the southwest corner of the Site, and a field road crosses Parcel -04. A
natural pond is located at the northeast corner of the Site. The remainder of the Site is
irrigated pasture and open crop land.
Three wells were observed on the Site, one irrigation well located along the road
crossing Parcel -04, one domestic well located at the eastern residence, and one well
which appears to serve both the cattle facility and the western residence. Seven pole-
mounted transformers were observed on the Site; although the transformers were not
observed to be labeled PCB-free, they appeared clean and undamaged.
Two 550-gallon above-ground storage tanks (ASTs) containing gasoline and diesel, as
well as a 1,000-gallon AST containing agricultural diesel, were observed at the cattle
facility. The tanks were located on a concrete pad_ A pump was observed near the
pond at the northeast corner of the Site; two containers of maintenance chemicals one
gallon or less in size were observed near the pump. Several cow carcasses were
observed near the calf pens; Ray Alger indicated that these are collected daily by an
outside contractor.
The adjacent properties primarily consisted of crop land., vineyards, and orchards. A
PG&E power substation is located adjacent to the southwest of the Site, across Dodds
and Henry Roads.
LOG El012 Page 3
