Installation of a two deep screened monitoring wells,three shallow vapor wells and collection of soil and <br /> water samples. <br /> 2. Laboratory analysis of soil and water samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons(IPI-1) as gasoline by EPA <br /> Method 8015B,BTEX by EPA Method 8021B,MTBE,TBA,DIPE,ETBE,TAME,1,2-DCA and EDB <br /> by EPA method 8260B. <br /> 3. Conduction of soil vapor extraction tests. <br /> 4. Preparation of a report of the work performed. <br /> COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> 1. Submit an Environmental Health Department(EHD)well permit application and$368 permit and <br /> inspection fee. Once the well permit has been approved,notify EHD of the proposed schedule for <br /> the work. <br /> 2. Installation of an 8.5 inch conductor casing to 120 feet and installation of a deep screened monitoring <br /> well within the conductor casing will be costly and may provide problems. Drilling with 8 inch augers <br /> inside a 8.5 inch casing and retrieval of soil cuttings is difficult. Since there is soil and groundwater <br /> information from these areas,EHD recommends drilling without soil sample collection and quickly <br /> installing and grouting the wells. Otherwise,drilling technology that includes use of a drive casing that <br /> acts as a conductor casing that is removed as the well is built should be used. <br /> 3.
